Rose Kumsinda

Rose is the C.E.O and founder of Sea Cleaning Services which was founded in 2016. Rose has extensive experience in the establishing and managing businesses, such as a Laundromat, Dry Cleaners, Cleaning Business, Airbnb, and Property Development/Management. 

These experiences coupled with her professional work experience has provided her with good customer service delivery foundation.

Rose is the visionary behind actualizing the American Dream for herself and her family. As a young girl in a rural village in Malawi, she dreamt about being able to live in Washington D.C.

She achieved her dream over 30 years ago, as a single parent of four children. Alongside single handedly raising her children in Virginia and Maryland, she worked full-time for an International Organisation (Corporate Sector), whilst financially supporting some of her family members in Malawi and managing her own Laundromat/Dry Cleaners Business in Washington D.C.

She decided to retire from her full-time career in exchange for a flexible lifestyle, which could enable her to focus on developing her own independent Cleaning Services and Airbnb Business. Focusing on her own business has not only enabled Rose the opportunity to spend more time with her family and to travel, but also to have more dedicated time to provide high quality customer cleaning services.

CHIKO MATENDA

Chiko (Rose's daughter) assists in a voluntary capacity with Business Development and Marketing Tasks. 

Chiko's is an Entrepreneur within the Social Media & Digital Marketing Industry and is passionate about supporting Entrepreneurs and Small Business Owners to actualise their life vision, purpose and online business goals. She always enjoys global travel and attending cultural events.

She comes from a background of working in Leadership and Management positions for U.K. Government and NGO's, the Procurement, Supply and Quality Management Industry.

She left her career unexpectedly due to health reasons. Contributing in a voluntary capacity to Sea Clear's business development has enabled Chiko, to contribute in flexible way whilst maintaining her well-being. She enjoys being able to contribute to local community businesses.

SELF-EMPLOYED CLEANERS & CONTRACTORS 

We work in partnership with experienced Self-Employed Cleaners and Independent Contractors (vetted and licensed cleaning professionals). We pay our contractors above minimum Washington D.C. wage.

All our Independent Contractors are vetted as part our recruitment process. They carry their own cleaning supplies and equipment.

As a growing company, one of our business goals is to progressively increase the hourly rate of our workers as part of our contribution to adding more meaningful social and community value in Washington D.C.

We value the role of frontline workers and believe that they should be equally be valued, rewarded and remunerated for their best efforts. So that in turn, they can be able to maintain their overall well-being.

We Are Hiring Self-Employed Cleaners (Independent Contractors)

We are hiring experienced Self-Employed and Independent Cleaning Contractors to help us with providing good quality, timely and responsive cleaning services. We provide initial induction sessions to help you with becoming familiar with our clients and their cleaning requirements.

You must be committed, dedicated, experienced and enjoy the working independently as a self-employed person. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. with the necessary self-employment documents/identification and professional work insurance cover.
